The Marylock® Copper Die is a hi-tech product establishing quality standard among the dies manufacturers. Made of silver-bearing copper and etched and machined with the premium technology and equipment, copper dies for hot foil stamping and embossing pass through the thorough quality control to match our requirements for the proper geometry, flatness deviations and surface gloss. The Marylock® Copper Dies have a good pressure resistance in microtext or images, perfect thermal conductivity which gives high foil gloss and higher foil stamping speeds, metal structure is homogeneous and extremely durable - the combination of all these qualities guarantees the excellent foil imprint. Due to better durability you save time at long runs avoiding often dies changing and registering. The great heat conductivity and lower than brass price make the Marylock® Copper Dies the optimal choice for the owners of the high-speed hot foil stamping presses, such as Gietz, Bobst, SBL, IIJIMA, Sugano, etc. The unique characteristics of the silver-bearing copper dies find the use mainly for hot foil stamping, however, they are used for embossing as well. A professional tuning of the press by the operator before the run allows you to keep the same set of the Marylock® Copper Dies in good condition and achieve the million imprint with little quality reduction. Being handled and stored correctly the Marylock® Copper Dies can be used several more times when the runs repeat. Broken while stamping the Marylock® Copper Die can be recovered at the nearest Marylock plant.

The best tool for the hot foil stampers when short or middle jobs to be foil stamped or embossed. The Marylock® Magnesium Die is a cheap, easy to handle and low-cost delivery product. From thin film to thick leather this die has the same quality result. Depending on the images and the run lengths the Marylock Magnesium Dies are able to reach almost the copper die lifetime and crisp microtext imprint (e.g. wine label medals). The durability record confirmed by the customer is 800 000 sheets stamped with the same Marylock Magnesium Dies set. The lifetime of the magnesium die lies in the operator's hands only, varying from 50 000 to 300 000. The wider are the image elements on the die, the more durable is the die. The Marylock Magnesium Dies proved their excellent characteristics on the following hot stamping machines Heidelberg tiegel and cylinder conversions, New Foil, Kluge, Gietz, Yawa, Bobst, Tae Chang, Baier, Rabolini, Saroglia, Krause, Kerma, Wupa and so on, hand-fed and automatic.

Marylock® Brass Dies

The Marylock® Brass Die is a CNC engraved product that costs more but saves enough. When having a run which includes hot foil stamping and further embossing of the stamped areas the Marylock® Brass Die can do those actions in one stroke. The most long life die saves also registering time if your run is long. The brass CNC machined dies offer the wide variety of the multilevel design opportunities where one level copper and magnesium dies cannot be used. The brass dies allow to make complex relief, e.g. "crystal"-like embossing. It is in practice the best choice for the cartonboard converting in large volumes that's why Marylock® Brass Dies are widely used on the high-speed hot foil stamping presses, e.g. on Gietz Foil Commander 350 ton pressure at 7500 sh/h or Bobst BMA 250 ton pressure at 5500 sh/h. The Marylock® Brass Dies can be in flat, semiround or cylinder versions and all of them are perfect when you have long runs. Marylock® Brass Dies Applications:
Hot foil stamping:	transfer of the metallic or tint foil onto paper, cartonboard, plastics, leather, etc. Foil stamping can be in one stroke with embossing.
Embossing:	squeezed between the die and counterdie the substrate acquires relief above the rest of the surface. The multilevel and special relief forms available. The matrix boards or Marylock® Counterdies Set required.
Texturing:	imitation or design of the textures to form the material surface (e.g. "crocodile" leather, "diffraction" effect, etc.).

Note: you can find everything that you need in addition to your hot stamping job at our stock.
